Audience research

Upon research we found out that children enjoy animals, this was found by the large amount of tv shows that include animals such as Arthur, Pingu, Octonauts, Peppa Pig, Top Cat, Looney Toons, The Magic Roundabout, Tom and Jerry and Shaun the Sheep. 2/3 of these shows include human characteristics to their characters, like Arthur and Peppa Pig go to school, and Octonauts features speaking characters.

Main ideas.

After looking at the high amount of animal based tv shows we decided to follow that idea as it seems to appeal to children rather well. Our show will include multiple animals with the main character being a rabbit. We will have a short opening scene at the start of an object slowly expanding.

We have decided to call out show 'Terry and Twitchy'. Twitchy is a rabbit who seems to be quite the grumpy character with a  twitchy name, at which he got the nickname. Whereas Terry is a nice panda in the show. Both characters are complete opposites of each other.

I believe that I may not be very good on this topic as I am mainly good at graphical design and acting other than drawing and children tv shows is quite hard for me to understand. Also I believe that if I were to get a drawing pad, then I'd be able to be more of a help to the group. Although I believe that Frances is amazing at drawing and therefore the designs should be fine. And the other members seem to be great at ideas.

Poster ideas.

So for our ideas we are going to try and present the animals on the poster. We will most likely feature this poster around Primary Schools because our target audience is young children. This would mean that we have a age demographic to show it to and where.

I have been looking at how other companies advertise online for kids tv shows, and I have found nothing because not one of the shows I checked have methods of advertising.

So I believe that for online advertising, we should advertise on children youtube channels and parent related youtube channels. We could also try and advertise the show as a pop-up on websites like how when some websites are loaded an ad pops-up which the user has to press the X button to close. This forces them to actually look at the poster.

About me.

My name is Ben Brown and I enjoy Media, I chose it because I enjoy films, TV and games. Also I took it for GCSE so that was another reason as to why I did it.

I enjoy a large range of movies such as comedies, sci-fi movies, action, horrors etc. I also enjoy most genres of music except, mainly grime and heavy metal, I largely dislike them two genres. For some reason I also like Norwegian rap such as Lil' kleine. 
I am a big fan of the Alien, Terminator and Predator movies, I believe that they are some of the best sci-fi movies that have been created. I am also a fan of the older horror movies, such as A Nightmare on Elm Street and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Although I do like a few of the 21st Century horror movies such as Hostel, Saw and The Conjuring.
