  • Shaun of the Dead is a horror/comedy and it was released in the UK on the 9th April 2004.
  • It was directed by Edgar Wright, written by Wright and Simon Pegg and it stars Pegg and Nick Frost.
  • Shaun is a 30-something loser with a dull, easy existence. When he's not working at the electronics store, he lives with his slovenly best friend, Ed, in a small flat on the outskirts of London. The only unpredictable element in his life is his girlfriend, Liz, who wishes desperately for Shaun to grow up and be a man. When the town is inexplicably overrun with zombies, Shaun must rise to the occasion and protect both Liz and his mother.
  • The budget was $6.1 million.
  • It took £1.6 at 366 cinemas on the opening weekend and netted £6.4 million by mid May.
  • On its opening weekend on the US, it earned $3.3 and was placed seventh at the box office.
  • The film earned US$30,039,392 worldwide in box office receipts since its release.
  • It was also nominated for a BAFTA thanks to its critical and commercial success.
