Kill List

Kill list is a 2011 British crime drama psychological horror film directed by Ben Wheatley. It was released on the 2nd September. It was created in the UK and earned an overall box office gross of £87,970. Distributed by Optimum, and hosted in 47 cinemas, although they spent £1,872. The movie last for one hour and thirty-five minutes. It was also produced by Warp X, the same people who made Trash Humpers

Synopsis: When a British soldier returns home from Kiev he joins an old friend as Contract Killers. His disturbed past surfaces as he spins out of control during jobs and ominous employers raise the stakes. It was filmed in Sheffield, South Yorkshire in England.

Rotten Tomatoes, reports that 76% of 83 surveyed critics gave the film a positive review. It was rated on IMDB by 29,242 people and got a rating of 6.4/10. The average rating was 7.1/10. IFC Films bought the film to video on demand on the 4th January 2012, it received a US theatrical release on the 3rd February 2012. It got released on home video in the UK on 26th December 2011 and 14th August 2012 in the US.

Awards: Kill list won “Best Supporting Actor” for Michael Smiley. Nominated for: “Best Achievement in Production”, “Best Actor” for Neil Maskell, “Best Actress” for MyAnna Buring, “Best Director” for Ben Wheatley, “Best Screenplay” for Ben Wheatley and Amy Jump, ‘London Critics Circle Film Awards’ for “British Film of the Year”, ‘London Critics Circle Film Awards’ for “Supporting Actor of the Year for Michael Smiley.
